Telescopic poles - a long tradition at KOHLA
So we have always been developing and revising our product series again and again. In our product range, we place great emphasis on offering the right pole for the required outdoor use. Our classic, three-part ACTIVE, TRACK and ALPINIST hiking poles are equipped with high-quality outer clamps and interchangeable plates.In the ski touring sector, we also offer two new pole models with the new collection, which differ fundamentally in the material composition. The VERTICAL is made of robust, yet lightweight aluminum. In contrast, the VERTICAL PRO models impress with the use of extremely lightweight CALU®-TECH, a mixture of carbon and aluminum.
KOHLA Pole Categories
The KOHLA pole range includes the two categories of hiking and trekking poles and ski touring poles. In the development of each individual pole model, we specifically address the requirements of the respective mountain athlete. For example, a ski tourer benefits from the extended grip surface. At the same time, all KOHLA telescopic poles can be used all year round. Interchangeable plates for winter or summer make this possible.
Hiking & trekking poles
The use of hiking poles is possible all year round. The three-piece poles offer a small pack size and can be easily attached to the backpack. KOHLA offers a model for every level here, from the ACTIVE telescopic pole for light day hikes to the ALPINIST trekking pole for high alpine tours.
Ski touring poles
Lightweight and robust are the two-piece poles of the VERTICAL series. Ski tourers benefit from the ergonomic handle extension and have the optimum grip at all times. The fixed winter plates are replaceable and available as spare parts.

If a segment on the stick is damaged - it is best to write an email to our service. Our professionals will do their best to repair a stick. For damages outside the warranty Georg will then make an individual offer.
Pole material
CALU®-TECH - Lighter & Stronger
Best performance and high-quality materials have top priority in the development of new KOHLA products. For example, we use the innovative CALU®-TECH for our VERTICAL PRO and ALPINIST pole series. The combination of carbon and aluminum combines lightness with stability and thus the best properties of both materials.
7075 ALUTech
The aluminum and zinc alloy is light, strong and shock resistant. Due to its special resistance to temperature fluctuations, 7075 ALUTech is also used in aviation and structural engineering. In our KOHLA telescopic poles, this material is used in our entry-level model ACTIVE, the sporty trekking pole TRACK and the ski touring pole VERTICAL.
Pole closure systems
KOHLA Clamper Lock
Quick and easy to set the desired pole length without the use of tools possible. By simply turning the wheel, the closure is adjusted and the clamp is closed.
KOHLA Ever Lock
The innovative closure system made of lightweight aluminum immediately ensures a secure grip and easy handling. The pole is adjusted to the desired length in no time and ensures a firm and secure grip without wearing out.
Pole spare parts
All KOHLA hiking and trekking telescopic poles are equipped with exchangeable plates. If a plate is lost, it can be easily reordered from us. Likewise, the poles can be retrofitted with trekking pads for asphalt. Also for the VERTICAL ski touring poles we offer the matching winter plates as a spare part.
