That's why KOHLA has always offered its own children's collection, which is perfectly tailored to the needs of young adventurers. Our motto is: “If the equipment fits, the kids will have fun!” The backpacks have been specially developed for different age groups and offer the same high-quality materials and functional features as our regular KOHLA backpacks. This means that even the youngest children can discover nature in comfort and with enjoyment.

Each model is carefully tailored to the age and needs of young explorers, providing reliable comfort and functionality from their very first outings to more challenging mountain adventures.
In addition to a child-specific fit and excellent carrying comfort, we place great emphasis on durable, high-quality materials. The robust nylon outer fabric is tear-resistant and built to withstand everyday family life as well as countless outdoor adventures. Ergonomically shaped shoulder straps, comfortable back systems and thoughtfully designed features ensure a secure and comfortable fit, even on longer hikes. Every model also includes a removable sit mat, providing a dry and comfortable place to rest along the way.

For the youngest adventurers, the Happy Rocky 8 L and Happy Rocky 10 L are the perfect companions. The Happy Rocky 8 L is designed for children aged 2–5 years, while the Happy Rocky 10 L is ideal for young explorers aged 3–6 years. The cuddly Rocky plush companion quickly becomes a favourite friend, while practical compartments and a waterproof base make both backpacks perfect for kindergarten, family outings and first hikes.
The Happy Rock 14 L is designed for children aged 6 years and up. With increased storage capacity and multiple attachment options, it offers plenty of space for gear on longer hikes, school trips and exciting outdoor adventures.
For young mountain enthusiasts, the Happy Alpine 16 L has been developed specifically for alpine adventures. Its lightweight, ergonomic back system and insulated front pocket, which helps keep drinks hot or cold for longer, make it the ideal companion for hiking, via ferratas and first mountain tours. Its functional features provide everything young adventurers need for a day in the mountains.

The child carrier
A child carrier backpack, also known as a child carrier, is a specially designed backpack with an integrated frame that allows parents to comfortably carry young children on their back. With a secure harness system, children from around 6 months of age can sit safely and comfortably in the carrier. It is important that a child can sit upright independently before using a child carrier. For parents, carrying comfort is just as important. An ergonomically shaped back system and softly padded shoulder straps ensure excellent comfort, even on longer hikes. Practical storage compartments on the back provide plenty of space for essentials such as water bottles, snacks and extra clothing.
The KOHLA Happy Transporter is an all-in-one child carrier designed with a strong focus on functionality, safety and carrying comfort. Equipped for every adventure, it includes an integrated sun and rain canopy, a removable body bag and an integrated rain cover, ensuring both parent and child are prepared for changing weather conditions. Developed in accordance with EN 13209-1:2004, the KOHLA Happy Transporter is the ideal companion for hiking, walks and everyday family adventures.
