The KOHLA Clamping system

VARIABILITY FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL

Variability is important to make your Kohla skin fit ideally. The enormous choice of ski touring equipment as well as different ski constructions require flexible solutions. The Kohla tip system offers the ideal adjustments for every type of ski.

WHICH CLIMBING SKIN ATTACHMENT DO I NEED?

Before buying, you should of course know which skin attachment is available and which one you need for your ski. This always depends on your ski type. Kohla offers the so-called bracket tip system for the normal standard ski with interchangeable variants for skis with hole, skis with slot, wide powder slats, twin tip or splitboard.

FOR WHICH TYPES OF SKIS IS THE STIRRUP HOLDING SYSTEM SUITABLE?

You can easily adjust your skin to any ski yourself with the help of the right attachment. The only important thing is that the new ski has the same dimensions as the previous ski. If you have bought a new touring ski (with a different ski type), it must be identical in length and waist to your previous model. If this is the case, thanks to the simple Kohla bracket system, a simple and quick exchange of the front attachment can be made. So you can simply remount your current skin and continue to use it without hesitation.

THE TIP SYSTEM

In the standard delivery we have the T-Bar 85 (normal standard ski) or T-Bar 110 (for skis from 135mm width) mounted on the shovel as front attachment and the K-Clip on the ski end.

CHANGE SYSTEMS

I-Fix System

If you have a ski with a slot, there is the I-Fix system. This system consists of two "rubber nipples", one I-Fix per skin. Before you glue your skin onto the ski, you first pull this "nipple" through the slot in the ski and thus fix the skin for further skinning.

Z-hook

If you have a ski with a hole, you can easily hook the Z-hook into the hole.

Butterfly

If you have a twin tip ski, the Butterfly can be inserted into the Elastic Strap and optimally adjusted to your ski.

OPENING THE BAR HOLDING SYSTEM

When mounting the T-Bar 85, ideally you have a flat-blade screwdriver and insert it between the bar and the stirrup holder. Now lift the latch a little and at the same time push the latch out in the direction of the coat. The stirrup holder opens and you can remove the standard stirrup.

CLOSING THE HOOK HOLDER SYSTEM

Once you have selected and attached the tip system that suits you best, the stirrup holder can be closed again. To do this, take the latch, press it firmly together and at the same time push it closed in the direction of the tip. To convert to a Twin Tip system, the standard K-Clip must be removed first. Then you can thread in the Butterfly and fix it using the prefabricated holes. This is how easy it is to customize your Kohla skins. So that really everyone can change his fastening system without any problems, there is a video on our homepage in which we demonstrate to you once again how to change the bow fastening system in individual steps.

FROM KOHLA - FOR EVERYONE

Due to the wide range of different ski types, uncomplicated and compatible products are needed. The Kohla stirrup support system with interchangeable attachment types is universal and appeals to practically every touring skier. The choice of ski or skin is therefore flexible and unrestricted.
